Ideogram, a Toronto, Canada-based generative AI text-to-image technology startup, raised $16.5M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Index Ventures, with participation from AIX Ventures, Golden Ventures, and Two Small Fish Ventures, Raquel Urtasun, Sarah Guo, and Tom Preston-Werner, among others.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations in Toronto, and its development efforts.
Led by CEO Mohammad Norouzi, Ideogram is an artificial intelligence (AI) startup offering generative text-to-image technology to accelerate the creative process for artists to make their expression more accessible, fun, and efficient.
