Kombai, a Pune, India-based startup advancing frontend devtools, raised $4.5m in seed funding.
The round was led by Stellaris Venture Partners and Foundation Capital with participation from several angels.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its team and its research and development efforts.
Led by CTO Abhijit Bhole and CEO Dipanjan Dey, Kombai is building a developer tool for a frontend dev app developers to automate all of their mundane tasks like writing and maintaining CSS and other JS code. Currently, the company is in a private beta phase with a few hundred early devs. Its current version can generate production-quality React, HTML & CSS code from Figma. Its deep learning models are able to generate usable frontend code with accurate flex, div-structure, repeated elements, form components, and framework-specific syntax.
