Mendoza Ventures, a Boston, MA and San Francisco, CA-based female and latinx-founded venture capital firm, launched Mendoza Impact, a nonprofit dedicated to closing the diverse founder funding gap.
Led by newly appointed Executive Director Jen Hartnett-Bullen, who will build and drive programming, fundraising efforts, and build community across the startup ecosystem, Mendoza Impact aims to help fund and build diverse founders, funders, and VC/PE fund employees.
The nonprofit will use philanthropic dollars to invest in, and build curriculum for, and establish micro-communities of diverse founders, funders and fellows. It builds cohorts of talented individuals to create micro-communities of innovation across the US.
The inaugural diverse founder cohort includes Latino-led Straylight Systems, Black-led Goodfynd, Latina-led Wealthbuild, and Female-led EKOS.AI.
Run by Adrian and Senofer Mendoza, Mendoza Ventures is a fintech, AI, and cybersecurity venture firm that focuses on diversity playing an important role in their investment decisions.
