TeamSense, a Mukilteo, WA-based provider of an attendance tracking platform for the hourly workforce, raised $4m in seed funding.

The round was led by Bonfire Ventures, with participation from Operator Collective.

The company intends to use the funds to expand and scale the product.

Led by Sheila Stafford, CEO, TeamSense provides a text-based solution that enables manufacturing businesses to meet hourly workers where they are – without them needing to download or navigate employer-specific apps. It allows employees to self-report absence reasons with standardized codes and timestamps, minimizing ambiguity, biases, and errors. Hourly employees can receive company communications via text with translations available for dozens of different languages.
