Videobot Raises €2M in Funding

Videobot, a Turku, Finland-based SaaS startup providing interactive video chatbots, raised €2M in funding.

The round saw participation from Superhero Capital, Expon Capital Digital Tech Fund, Urban Gillstrom and Ari Korhonen.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth, especially in Europe and the US markets, both markets in which Videobot has already gained a solid presence with over 200 customers in 15 countries and in multiple diverse industries.

Co-founded by Matias Mäenpää and Anssi Kiviranta, Videobot provides online customer experiences with interactive video chatbots. With on-demand product demonstrations and effective, simple explanations of complex product information, businesses can achieve measurable enhancement in their customer acquisition processes.

The technology can be implemented to any modern website within minutes with a widget or plug-in solution to the existing website, and it works seamlessly on any screen. Videobot also gives recommendations to its clients on the video format and content that is sure to drive engagement and generate more leads and ultimately, sales. 

Since its launch in autumn 2022, Videobot has secures several clients, including game giant Supercell and Moi Mobiili. Looking ahead, the company plans to secure one thousand customers and annual billing of three million euros by the end of 2024, with an objective of growing their team to 50 employees.
