d-Matrix, a Santa Clara, CA-based company which specialises in generative AI compute for data centers, raised $110M in Series B funding.
The round was led by Temasek. Other investors included Industry Ventures, Ericsson Ventures, Marlan Holdings, Mirae Asset, Cortes Capital, Archerman Capital, TGC Square, Lam Capital and Samsung Ventures. They joined existing investors Playground Global, M12 (Microsoft Venture Fund), Nautilus Venture Partners and Entrada Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to begin commercializing Corsair, a digital-in memory compute (DIMC), chiplet-based inference compute platform, after the launches of its prior Nighthawk, Jayhawk-I and Jayhawk II chiplets.
Led by CEO Sid Sheth, d-Matrix is a supplier of digital in-memory computing (DIMC) solutions that address the demand for transformer and generative AI inference acceleration. It creates flexible solutions for inference at scale using innovative DIMC circuit techniques, a chiplet-based architecture, high-bandwidth BoW (chiplet) interconnects and a stack of machine learning and large language model tools and software.
The company has offices in Bengaluru, India and Sydney, Australia.
