PlanScout, a Seattle, WA-based provider of financial planning services to licensed financial advisors, acquired the SIPS Retirement Planning System (SIPS RPS) as part of its strategy to provide outsourced financial planning services to financial advisors.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, PlanScout will launch an outsourced planning service for independent financial advisors. SIPS RPS will remain available as a do-it-yourself financial planning tool for advisors and will include options to take advantage of PlanScout outsourced plan development.
Founded by James Gallagher, now advisor to PlanScout, SIPS RPS has been used by hundreds of advisors to create tens of thousands of comprehensive financial plans over the past 13 years.
