Secoda, a Toronto, Canada-based provider of an AI-powered data search and cataloging platform, raised $14m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Craft Ventures with participation from Abstract Ventures, existing investors YCombinator and Garage Capital, and leaders in the data space including Jordan Tigani (CEO of MotherDuck), Scott Breitenother (CEO of Brooklyn Data Co.), Chad Sanderson (CEO of gable.ai), and Tristan Handy (CEO of dbt).

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and development efforts.

Led by CEO Etai Mizrahi, Secoda is an AI powered data catalog, lineage, and documentation platform which allows data teams to automate data discovery, documentation efforts. By automatically ingesting the metadata across all of data sources, Secoda makes it easy to make decisions from a single system.

The company serves companies like Panasonic, Mode, and Vanta.
