SimpleClosure, a Santa Monica, CA-based company that simplifies the wind-down process of a business by automating the bureaucratic and manual work, raised $1.5M in Pre-Seed funding.
The round was led by Michael Vaughan and Jon Pomeranz of Vera Equity and Rex Salisbury of Cambrian Ventures. Additional investors included executives and founders from companies like Plaid, Brex, Nvidia, Sidley Austin LLP, and Gusto.
The company intends to use the funds to build out it core team and scale the product.
Led by CEO and Founder Dori Yona, SimpleClosure leverages fintech, legal tech and AI to help entrepreneurs execute the wind-down process of their companies by automating the bureaucratic and manual work. It resolves remaining obligations with customers, state agencies, and team members on behalf of the dissolving business.
