Treyd, a Stockholm, Sweden-based fintech payment company, raised $12M in an extension of its Series A funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $25M, was led by Nineyards Equity, with participation from Antler, Zenith VC, and J12 Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to grow in existing markets, and invest in the core product offering.
Founded by Peter Beckman and Sameh El-Ansary, Treyd is a buy-now-pay-later service for supplier invoices. The company pays users’ suppliers on their behalf and they pay the company back up to 4 months later. Treyd is a regulated payment institution with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen).
The round was extension of its March 2022 Series A funding. Since then, the company has expanded into the UK and throughout the Nordics, and financed $149m of purchases for SMEs in Northern Europe.
