Aembit

Aembit, a Silver Spring, MD-based workload identity and access management (IAM) company, received an investment from CrowdStrike, via its strategic investment vehicle, the CrowdStrike Falcon Fund.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed. CrowdStrike’s investment closes Aembit’s seed funding round from Ballistic Ventures, Ten Eleven Ventures, and Okta Ventures.

Aembit and CrowdStrike will partner on a technical integration with go-to-market alignment. This partnership will help provide customers with a comprehensive Zero Trust strategy by assessing the identity and health of workloads before permitting access to sensitive resources.

Led by CEO David Goldschlag, Aembit provides a workload identity platform that lets every business safely build its applications. It provides users with secure access from the workloads to the services they depend on, like APIs, databases, and cloud resources, while simplifying application development, delivery, compliance, and audit.
