Ai Build, a London, UK-based additive manufacturing software company, raised $8.5M in Series A funding.
The round was led by IQ Capital, with participation from Nikon as a strategic investor alongside its existing investors including Superseed, ACT Venture Partners, Atlas Ventures (UK) and Seedcamp.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its product roadmap, allowing it to onboard more customers with enhance automation and AI capabilities, to expand into North America by opening a subsidiary in the US, and to continue its expansion in Europe.
Established in 2015 by two architects, Daghan Cam and Michail Desyllas, Ai Build is a software-as-a-service company that works for the additive manufacturing industry on a global scale. Its software enables them to automate the additive manufacturing process from plan to print, improving speed, quality, scalability, and application range, across the entire enterprise. The company integrates and partners with a growing network of hardware manufacturers.
Clients are tier 1 companies operating in the Aerospace, Automotive, Construction, Marine and Energy verticals.
