Blockaid, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based web3 security company, closed a $33m Series A funding.

The round was led by Ribbit, Variant, Cyberstarts, Sequoia, and Greylock. 

The company intends to use the funds to further develop its solutions, to broaden its customer base, and to grow the team.

Co-founded by Ido Ben-Natan and Raz Niv, Blockaid provides a web3 security platform that enables builders to protect users from fraud, phishing and hacks. Over the past 6 months, the company has scanned over 450M transactions, prevented 1.2M malicious transactions, and secured over $500M of user funds that could have been compromised. 

Customers include MetaMask, OpenSea, Rainbow, and Zerion.
