First Resonance, a Los Angeles, CA-based manufacturing software startup, received an investment from Emerson Ventures (NYSE: EMR).

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and development of its ION Factory OS.

Led by Karan Talati, co-founder and chief executive officer, First Resonance provides the ION Factory OS, which enables companies across industries building hardware like spacecraft, power plants, and robots, to conduct day-to-day operations and connect workflows to power modern operations, from production to supply chain procurement and quality. With ION Analytics, decision-makers get real-time visibility into problems of manufacturing process, empowering them to iterate quickly and at scale, resulting in faster time to market. With its discrete manufacturing platform that equips manufacturers with a digital thread, ION helps remove barriers by providing tools to improve collaboration, move information more freely, and use data to deliver insights that result in better quality and faster delivery.
