HiWi Raises Rs. 7.25 Crores in Funding

HiWi, a Mumbai, India-based provider of a cross border fintech platform, raised Rs.7.25 crores in funding.

The round was led by Unicorn India Ventures with participation from Unmaj Group.

The company intends to use the funds to build out the MVP and conduct go to market activities.

Co-founded by Dewang Neralla, a fintech entrepreneur and the former Founder and CEO of Atom Technologies, alongside Geeta Chauhan and Ujwal Tamminedi, veterans in the information technology and services sector, HiWi is a cross border fintech platform that aims to simplify payments. It has launched its platform for students studying abroad with an aim to bring a safer, easier and a convenient way for remittances from parents to students across geographies.

HiWi currently supports 25,000+ students across India with remittance services to the tune of USD 100 million in the next one year.
