Generative Engineering, a London, UK-based physical product design software provider, raised $4m in seed funding.

The round was led by EQT Ventures, with participation from Join Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.

Founded in 2021 by CEO and cofounder Joe Griston, Generative Engineering provides a software platform that enables engineers to take geometry and analysis of individual parts or full systems, generate and test thousands of alternatives to gain insight at the start of the project.

Users can plug in CAD, models, data-sets, or LLMs, and quickly see numerous alternative engineering options, create a unique design space of generated geometries, accounting for ever-changing requirements, collaborate, and bring vast, visualised data to design reviews to make collaborative and efficient decisions.
