Handraise Closes $6.4M in Seed Funding

-

Handraise, an Austin, TX-based AI company enabling brands to increase the impact of their press coverage, raised $6.4m in seed funding.

The funding round was led by Silverton Partners, with additional participation from Floodgate, Bill Wood Ventures, Firebrand VC, Aperiam Ventures, Active Capital, Sputnik ATX VC, Capital Factory, and a handful of angel investors.

The company intends to use the funds to develop its platform.

Founded in 2023 by Matt Allison, CEO, Handraise provides an AI platform that helps PR and communications professionals deliver business impact through insights and amplification. The company is leveraging large language models to deliver insights without the manual effort. Its NewsAmp product enables users to publish assets derived from press coverage to targeted audiences — without the complexity typically associated with building audiences in digital marketing.

Allison previously started and built TrendKite into the world’s top media monitoring and analytics platform, which was acquired by Cision in 2019 for $225 million.
