rabbit, a Los Angeles, CA-based AI startup building a device aimed at replacing app-based operating systems, raised additional $10M in Series A funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $30M, was led by Khosla Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its headcount and develop its first standalone hardware – r1 – with a human-machine interface, which it plans to unveil on January 9, 2024.
Led by Founder and CEO Jesse Lyu, rabbit is an AI startup developing a personalized operating system (OS) through a natural language interface and dedicated consumer hardware to host the OS. The OS, called rabbit OS, is capable of understanding complex user intentions, operating user interfaces, and performing actions on behalf of the user. The key technology empowering rabbit OS is the Large Action Model (LAM), a new type of foundation model that understands human intentions on computers.
