Aqua Security, a Boston, MA- and Ramat Gan, IL-based company which specializes in cloud native security, raised $60M in funding.
The funding, an extension of the company’s Series E round, places Aqua’s valuation above $1B.
The round was led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from existing investors Insight Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners and StepStone Group.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
Founded in 2015 and led by CEO Dror Davidoff, Aqua Security provides a protection platform (CNAPP) that sees and stops attacks across the entire cloud native application lifecycle. From software supply chain security for developers to cloud security and runtime protection for security teams, it helps customers reduce risk while building the future of their businesses.
Aqua has now raised $325M since its founding in 2015. During that time, more than 500 enterprise companies worldwide, including 40% of the Fortune 100 companies, have adopted its cloud security approach. Aqua serves six of the top 10 banks in North America, and six of the top seven banks in Canada, making it the leading cloud native security provider for the financial services industry.
