Keepit, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based SaaS backup and recovery company, received a $40m refinancing package from HSBC Innovation Banking in partnership with The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO).
The package follows Keepit’s $30m Series A funding round in 2020, and a total of $22m debt financing in 2022 from Silicon Valley Bank UK, now HSBC Innovation Banking, and Vækstfonden, now the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO), the national promotional bank and export credit agency of Denmark.
The company intends to use the funds for further investments in international expansion, hiring, business operations, and product development as Keepit continues to scale and build out its market-leading platform for SaaS data protection.
Founded in 2007 by Morten Felsvang, CEO, Keepit provides next-level SaaS data protection for companies with data stored in the cloud. Based on a blockchain-verified solution, the company protects data in key business applications, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure AD, Google, and Salesforce. Headquartered in Copenhagen with offices and data centers globally, the company serves thousands of companies worldwide to protect and manage their cloud data.
