Vital Interaction, an Austin, TX-based healthcare technology company, raised $15M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Next Coast Ventures. Prior investors Michael Dearing and Walter Kortschak also participated.
The company intends to use the funds to scale its go-to-market strategy, ramp hiring quickly, and continue its investment into product research and development.
Led by CEO Ben Chapman, Vital Interaction specializes in patient reactivation and retention. Its proprietary Smart List Engine scans a practice management system using specific criteria like appointment, clinical and billing data to generate automated, customizable campaigns for targeted patient outreach. It identifies and engages at-risk patients, encourages them to schedule appointments and measures the effectiveness of outreach efforts. Over 13,000 providers use Vital Interaction to facilitate more than 40 million messages to over 5 million patients annually.
