Aquanow Türkiye Receives Investment From Oyak Portföy and Finberg

Aquanow Türkiye, a subsidiary of Aquanow, a Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-based infrastructure provider that enables institutional and enterprise use-cases for digital assets, received a strategic investment from Oyak Portföy and Finberg.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed. Oyak Portföy offers financial services, such as the management of retail and institutional portfolios made up of financial assets, to around 300,000 individual and corporate clients. Finberg is a subsidiary of Fibabanka and is a multi VC management firm in Turkey.

The investment is the beginning of a partnership focused on developing innovative digital asset solutions for the Turkish market.

Led by CEO Phil Sham, Aquanow is a digital assets infrastructure provider enabling crypto financial services for institutional clients. The company serves an international customer base that includes banks, neobanks, brokerages, and payment companies.

Established in 2018, Aquanow currently has 100+ team members. The company established its Turkish subsidiary in Q3 2023 after seeing the potential of the Turkish market.

Commenting on the news, Phil Sham said: “Oyak Portföy and Finberg are trusted financial institutions, and Aquanow looks forward to working collaboratively to offer innovative digital asset services that are compliant with emerging legal regulations in Turkey.”
