TalkLife, a Bristol, UK-based provider of an online peer support community for people to talk about their mental health, raised an undisclosed amount in funding from Telus Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its reach with a focus on building out its presence in the North American market.

Led by CEO Jamie Druitt, TalkLife builds online spaces for people around the world to give and get support for their mental health. It offers instant connection for those who may be feeling isolated or alone combined with professional clinical moderation, real time escalation and world class ML technology. The company specialises in providing bespoke peer support products for students via TalkCampus and employees via TalkLife Workplace in addition to its free to use public offering. Using elements of social networking combined with a safe, supportive environment, the platform delivers real-time, ongoing peer support to more than five million lives worldwide at any time of the day or night across multiple languages, providing clinical escalation and real-time professional moderation. It specializes in offering tailored support to key demographics including over 250 universities and colleges and hundreds of companies from SMEs to multinationals via TalkCampus and TalkLife Workplace.
