Zetta Genomics, a Cambridge, UK-based genomic data company, raised additional £1.8M in second Seed funding.
The round saw participation from We Venture Capital, Nina Capital, Apex Ventures, and Cambridge Enterprise.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its presence and build out strategic partnerships with industry leaders including Microsoft, Fujitsu and IQVIA.
Led by Founder and CEO Ignacio Medina, Zetta Genomics is a genomic data technology company. A spin-out from the University of Cambridge and Genomics England, Zetta leverages genomic and big data and startup expertise to deliver data management for the precision medicine era.
Commenting on the news, Ignacio Medina said: “Zetta Genomics is already making a difference to patients as XetaBase empowers clinicians to make faster and more accurate diagnoses at scale. With this extension to our second seed funding round now finalised, we are scaling and innovating our technologies, and enhancing customer focus.”
