Kaedim, a San Francisco, CA-based startup dedicated to streamlining the 3D creative process for game developers and interactive entertainment creators, raised $15M in Series A funding.
The round was led by A16Z GAMES with participation from Pioneer Fund, Scott Gelb (former President of Games of Riot Games), Nate Mitchell (Oculus co-founder), Eden Chen (Pragma CEO), Siqi Chen (Runway CEO), Chris Kingsley CBE (Rebellion co-founder), Tom Blomfield (Monzo founder), Patrick Pitchette (former Google CFO), Sterling Snow (former CRO of Divvy), and Jane Walerud (serial deep tech company founder).
The company intends to use the funds to invest in innovation, add new tools and features to its platform, grow its team and expand into new markets.
Led by Founder and CEO Konstantina Psoma, Kaedim currently offers AI solutions to accelerate the production of digital 3D assets. Today, it is able to generate 3D models from a single image and also accelerates the entire 3D pipeline. With automated features like UV unwrapping, Texturing and Levels of Detail, It is able to produce ready-to-use 3D assets in games, and any 3D workflow across every industry.
The company has surpassed seven figures in annual revenue, with a roster of 250+ large-scale customers, including Voodoo, Voldex, Zerospace, and Upland. In addition, Its user base continues to grow with 20,000 new creators per month – ranging from enthusiasts to development teams at Fortune 100 companies spanning industries, including video games, commerce, architecture, product design and animation.
