Fleet Team, a Cleveland, OH-based fleet management and consulting company, acquired Forklift Training Systems, a Newark, OH-based OSHA-compliant safety training company.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition, which closed on March 28, 2024, further diversifies Fleet Team to include operator/trainer training programs and safety products that complement the company’s existing client solutions portfolio.
Led by David Hoover, President, who will play a key role in providing safety and training leadership for both companies, Forklift Training Systems provides OSHA-compliant safety training for operators and trainers of material handling equipment and mobile elevating work platforms, along with an extensive supply of safety products. Experienced class instructors provide a combination of hands-on learning and classroom education at the company’s training facilities, remote by Zoom/MS Teams or at client locations. The decision to acquire Forklift Training Systems was driven by its capabilities in the training and safety services space with Fortune 500 companies.
