Toca Football, a Costa Mesa, CA-based technology-enabled soccer experience company, received an investment from Magnus Carlsen, a five-time World Chess Champion.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Founded by Eddie Lewis, Toca is a technology-enabled soccer experience company building communities that inspire everybody to play. It operates two businesses: Toca Soccer, a network of innovative soccer training centers for players of all skill levels, and Toca Social, a soccer-themed entertainment and dining venue.
