Futura, a Milan, Italy-based edtech company, raised €14M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Eurazeo, with participation from existing investor United Ventures and new investor Axon Partners Group.
The company intends to use the funds to further invest in technology, expand into new business lines and grow the team.
Co-founded by Andrea Chirolli (CEO), Lorenzo Pinto (CTO); Francesco Salvatore (CPO); and Remko Wiesman (COO), Futura provides an AI-based platform that optimizes users’ study time and test scores by learning from past mistakes and targeting weak points with extra attention. They personalize learning, using a data-driven approach and modular classes that adapt to students’ individual needs.
It also provides “Alice”, an AI-powered virtual tutor that uses large-language models to create personalized explanations and learning materials to each student’s level, knowledge, and learning style.
