Evercoast Acquires Depthkit

Evercoast, a NYC-based provider of end-to-end 3D spatial video software, acquired Depthkit, a NYC-based company which specializes in volumetric capture.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

With the acquisition, Evercoast will accelerate the development of AI creation tools for 3D video production.

James George, CEO of Scatter, the company that developed the sotware, Depthkit provides a portable solution for creating high-quality volumetric video captures and livestreams using depth sensors. The company captures subjects in full motion, producing realistic human hologram performances to be placed in interactive 3D worlds.

Led by Ben Nunez, CEO, Evercoast is a spatial video platform for human digital twins, multiview datasets, volumetric video, and emerging 3D technologies. It delivers an end-to-end software suite that enables customers across verticals to build virtual simulation applications, train AI models, and craft compelling creative content using dynamic 3D performance capture. The platform is used by customers capturing celebrities like Peyton Manning, Drake and Charles Barkley in photo-realistic detail, as well as healthcare providers, universities, and broadcast media.
