JobGet, a Boston, MA-based provider of an app-first hiring platform connecting over 70 million workers with brands, acquired Wirkn, a Montreal, Canada-based frontline recruitment platform provider.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition will enable JobGet to provide Wirkn’s extensive network of over 17,000 mall, retail, and restaurant locations with a broader reach of applicants.
Led by Mathieu Weber, Wirkn provides a platform for brands in North America to find hourly employees. The solution enables companies to attract job seekers walking down the street, from the internet, job boards and social media, select a candidate based on availability, skills, experience and get to know them by watching their presentation video, and communicate efficiently with candidates using the internal messaging, by phone or email.
Led by CEO Tony Liu, JobGet provides an app for hiring everyday workers to support employers in sectors typically involving hourly or non-exempt roles. It connects over 70 million everyday job seekers with recognized brands including Avis, Whole Foods, and Lovesac, facilitating quick, quality hires across various industries—from retail and restaurants to manufacturing and healthcare.
