Sloyd, an Oslo, Norway-based 3D model creation tech provider, raised €3M in Seed funding.

Backers included a16x Games Speedrun, Antler, Skyfall Ventures, FreshFund, Acecap Finance, Hartmann Capital, and Autodesk.

The company intends to use the funds to develop its platform in order to expand its AI solutions and enhance its user experience.

Founded in 2021 by Andreas Edesberg, Øyvind Sørøy, and Avi Latner, Sloyd provides a platform for AI-driven 3D asset creation to improve workflows in game creation, TV/movie production, and architectural visualization, etc. They are creating a dataset through its parametric generators, and using AI to influence the look of models.

The startup currently employs a team of 13 and partners with organizations such as Nvidia, the Research Council of Norway, Innovation Norway, and Overwolf.
