Tomato.ai, a Danville, CA-based speech AI company specializing in accent softening software, raised $2.1M+ in extension seed funding.
Backers included Cardumen Capital, Recursive Ventures, and Gaingels.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by CEO Ofer Ronen and CTO James Fan, Tomato.ai is launching two solutions, Accent Softening (Beta) and Noise Cancellation.
The Accent Softening, currently in beta, is an application that is installed on a PC and works with any communications solution (Zoom, Teams, Meet, or Voice-Over-IP solutions). It embraces the accents while prioritizing the need for effective communication.
Noise Cancellation, which uses generative AI to recreate a person’s voice—while removing background noise, is available through the same PC application and is helpful for anyone on a call, regardless of whether they have an accent.
