Vecna Robotics Closes $100M in Series C Funding

Vecna Robotics, a Waltham, MA-based provider of flexible material handling automation solutions, raised $100M in Series C funding.

Backers included Tiger Global Management, Proficio Capital Partners, and IMPULSE.

The company intends to use the funds to expand ground-to-ground and low-lift workflow capabilities and development of new robots.

Led by CEO Craig Malloy, Vecna Robotics is a flexible, intelligent material handling automation company with solutions engineered for work between autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and the labor, equipment, facilities, and systems that make business go. Its self-driving forklifts, pallet jacks, and tuggers –– empowered by its Pivotal™ orchestration software and 24/7/365 Command Center –– help distribution, warehousing, and manufacturing organizations realize immediate cost savings by automating their most critical workflows and maximizing throughput at scale.

Over the past year, the company has served customers like GEODIS, FedEx, Caterpillar, Shape, and others.

To support its rapid expansion, Vecna Robotics also announced the appointment of Michael Helmbrecht as COO.
