Bio-Logical, a Nairobi, Kenya-based climate tech company, raised $1.3M in funding.

The round was led by CrossBoundary, Redshaw Advisors and existing investors the Steyn Group.

The company intends to use the funds to increase its carbon removal and fertiliser production capacity, boosting crop yields and climate resilience for thousands of smallholder farmers.

Led by Co-CEOs Rory Buckworth, and Philip Hunter, Bio-Logical fights climate change and supports climate-vulnerable communities through carbon removals. By 2030 it aims to sequester 1 million tons of CO2 and support 1 million smallholder farmers, helping them to regenerate their land, grow more food and improve their livelihoods.

This investment will expand their Mt. Kenya biochar facility to meet the demand for carbon removal and support climate resilience for Kenyan smallholder farmers.
