Catalyze Partners, a Dallas, TX-based company which specializes in acquiring and commercializing advanced technology, announced the acquisition of Axcend, a Provo, UT-based provider of liquid chromatography (HPLC) systems and accessories.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition will make microscale instruments available to more researchers and labs globally.
The transaction included Axcend’s line-up of eco-friendly, compact and portable HPLC instruments and accessories, designed to deliver performance and reliability. The Focus LC was developed initially at Brigham Young University by renowned inventor Dr. Milton Lee. The system is engineered to reduce the size, cost, and environmental impact of traditional HPLC systems, aligning with industry demands for a smaller footprint, portability and sustainability in laboratory equipment.
