Mantle, a San Francisco, CA-based company which specializes in metal 3D printing technology for precision tooling, raised $20M in Series C funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $61.5M, was led by Schooner Capital, with participation from Fine Structure Ventures, Foundation Capital, Corazon Capital, 11.2 Capital, and Build Collective.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by CEO Ted Sorom, Mantle accelerates product development by simplifying how mold tool components are made. Its TrueShape™ metal 3D printing technology delivers the accuracy, surface finish, and tool steel properties required for demanding tooling applications. Tools made with Mantle’s technology have produced millions of parts while reducing tooling lead times and costs.
