RxDiet, a NYC-based company focused on food as medicine, raised $3M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Giant Ventures, with participation from Better Ventures, Form Life, and angel investors including Immad Akhund (Mercury Bank).
The company intends to use the funds to expand their team, strengthen their grocery network, and offer their services to a wider range of healthcare payers.
Co-founded by Roman Kalista and Jan Skvaril, RxDiet uses AI to create medically tailored food plans, with fresh ingredients and behavioral support, and deliver them directly to patients with chronic illnesses like diabetes and hypertension. Their platform personalizes meal plans based on individual medical needs and taste preferences, offering a cost-effective alternative to existing programs that reduces wastage.
