Solus Power, a London, UK-based provider of portable electric vehicle charging solutions, raised £22M (US$28M) in funding.
Dubai, UAE-based Petra Equity Partners made the investment.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the development of its battery technology.
Established in 2020 and led by Chief Executive Officer Stas Leonidou, Solus Power specialises in the generation, storage, management, and distribution of power for electric vehicles as well as delivering innovative solutions to sectors where the mobilisation of energy is critically needed. Headquartered in London with its engineering division part of The Innovation Centre Warwick, Solus Power is focused on EV charging and off-grid solutions and committed to advancing sustainable energy practices.
The company has signed a collaboration deal with QinetiQ, which is exploring its charging solution for defence use as militaries shift to more sustainable electrified fleets,ì.
