Varm Raises €5.7M in Seed Funding

-

Varm, a Berlin, Germany-based insulation startup, raised €5.7M ($6.1M) in Seed funding.

The round was led by Emerge and Pale Blue Dot, with participation from noa (formerly A/O), Foundamental, and previous angel investors.

Founded in 2023 by Christian Gruener and Sebastian Wuerz, Varm is dedicated to driving household decarbonization through insulation solutions. With their current focus on air-gap insulation (also known as cavity wall or blown-in insulation), the company not only improves insulation efficacy but also reduces installation time and costs, making it a more attractive option for homeowners and businesses alike.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its “Cloud Installers” initiative, offering a comprehensive business-in-a-box solution that empowers workers to start and scale their insulation services while addressing the skills gaps in the European craftsman sector. It aims to insulate one million homes in the next ten years, contributing to Europe’s climate goals.
