Vitable Health, a Philadelphia, PA-based provider of healthcare plans for hourly and uninsured workers, raised $16m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Cherryrock Capital with participation from Newark Venture Partners, Citi Impact Fund, First Round Capital, Commerce Ventures, and Y Combinator.

The company intends to use the funds to extend its services to over 40 states and to enhance its primary care and care navigation capabilities.

Led by Joseph Kitonga, Founder & CEO, Vitable Health is an enhanced Primary Care membership that makes it easy for users to get quality care, whenever they need it. People can experience in-home primary care visits and virtual visits from a dedicated team of providers. The membership also comes with access to over 1,000 free prescriptions, labs, and a mental health program for users and their family.
