Clare&me, a Berlin, Germany-based AI mental health tech startup, raised $4M in funding.
The round was led by YZR with participation from Kodori Ventures, Material Ventures, angels, and Antler.
The company intends to use the funds to advance its LLM, and its second product for the automation of clinical anamnesis interviews.
Led by Emilia Theye, and Celina Messner, Clare&me is a conversational bot that helps people with feelings of anxiety and excessive worry ease their symptoms and build mental resilience long-term. Clare is available 24/7 via phone calls, SMS, and WhatsApp messages, serving as a mental health go-to contact in people’s phones that predicts the most helpful conversational intervention for any anxiety-related user problem. Those interventions are exercises rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy that Clare takes the user through on the phone or shorter therapeutic conversation flows over text and voice messages. The chatbot, intended to be used in clinical settings, is available 24/7. There’s no human on the phone, creating a judgement-free zone.
