EtherealX, a Bengaluru, India-baseed space technology startup, raised $5m in funding.
The round was led by YourNest with participation from BIG Global Investments JSC, Blue Hill Capital, Campus Fund, and Golden Sparrow Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to complete its test facility, final tests and qualification of the 40kN engine for the upper stage, and for the manufacturing of the 925kN semi-cryogenic engine.
Led by Manu J. Nair, CEO, COO Shubhayu Sardar, and CTO Prashanth Sharma, EtherealX designs, develops, and builds next-generation launch vehicles and spacecraft. The EtherealX Razor Crest Mk-1 will house 9 operational liquid rocket engines in all of Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa, South America, and Antarctica. Its single Stallion engine will be capable of producing an enormous 925 kilonewtons of thrust, enabling the Razor Crest Mk-1 to carry 24.8 tonnes to LEO.
