Hyperbolic, a New York-based provider of GPU resources and AI services through a cloud platform, raised $7m in seed funding.
The round was led by Polychain Capital and Lightspeed Faction with participation from Chapter One, LongHash, Bankless Ventures, Republic Digital, Nomad Capital, CoinSummer Labs, Third Earth Capital, and angel investors like Balaji Srinivasan, Illia Polosukhin, Sandeep Nailwal, Casey Caruso, Tekin Salimi, Santiago Santos.
The company intends to use the funds to advance the development of its open-access AI cloud, including hiring key engineers and creating a supportive ecosystem for developers.
Led by CEO Jasper (Yue) Zhang, Hyperbolic is a provider of open access AI computing and inference services, giving open access to AI for developers and researchers worldwide. Looking ahead, the company plans to launch its novel Proof of Sampling (PoSP) protocol on an interoperable blockchain, forming the infrastructure of its decentralized network of nodes.
