Mercately, a Quito, Ecuador-based company that builds software for companies to sell directly to customers via WhatsApp, raised $2.6m in seed funding.
The round was round led by Inventus Capital Partners and SVQuad, with participation from Techstars. Salkantay Ventures, and BuenTrip Ventures reportedly participated in the round, as well.
The company intends to use the funds to expand in Brazil and the US, and improve AI capabilities for Chatbots.
