Miru Raises $20M in Series A Financing

Miru Smart Technologies, a Vancouver, BC, Canada-based developer of electrochromic windows (eWindows), raised $20M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Business Development Bank of Canada’s investment arm, BDC Capital, and Angelo Paletta of TNG Capital Corp., with participation from Greensoil Proptech Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to accelelrate investment into its dynamic glass roofs for automobiles, and support the build of new pilot lines in North America and Europe that will service the automotive and architectural markets.

Led by CEO Curtis Berlinguette, Miru Smart Technologies develops electrochromic windows (eWindows) for the automobile, architectural, marine, and aviation verticals. The company’s vision is to bring 10 million square feet of eWindows to the market by 2028.

Vivian Kan and Kieron Hayes joined Miru’s Board of Directors effective April 2024.
