Skillfully, a San Francisco, CA-based company which specializes in simulation-driven hiring solutions, raised $2.5M in seed funding.
The round was led by Better Ventures, with participation from Silicon Valley Quad, American Student Assistance, Strada Education Foundation, FN Fund, and Inventus Capital Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by CEO Brett Waikart, Skillfully provides a recruitment platform centered around simulations and assessment grading. Through it, employers can also hire directly from its skill-verified TalentNetwork, which includes national career partners such as universities, community college systems, HBCUs and workforce development organizations. Employers get access to a diverse and motivated candidate pool often overlooked by conventional resume-first hiring tools and professional networks.
