Swiftly, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a transit data platform, announced its acquisition of Hopthru, a Seattle, WA-based transit data platform for agencies to share real-time passenger information, manage day-to-day operations, and improve service performance.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition will add Hopthru’s ridership data and analytics to Swiftly’s platform, giving agencies new ways to access, clean, monitor, and analyze ridership data for NTD reporting, service planning, scheduling, and more.
Led by CEO Cole Calhoun, Hopthru provides transit agencies with ridership analytics for data-driven decision-making. Agencies use it to enhance the quality and analysis of ridership data. The company works with agencies including San Diego’s North County Transit District, the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority, and Prince George’s County The Bus.
