Uniqkey, a Herlev, Hovedstaden, Denmark-based a provider of a password and access management solution, raised €5.35m in funding.
Backers included BackingMinds, in combination with industry veterans such as Jesper Zerlang (ex-CEO of Logpoint), Lars Ankjer, Otto Krabbe, Rolf Bladt and several angels and key employees.
The company intends to use the funds to scale its cyber security solution across Europe.
Led by Hakan Yagci, CEO & Founder, Uniqkey provides a password and access management solution that helps businesses make military-grade security convenient for both IT and employees. The solution requires a mobile app when logging into the company’s systems – in the same way people have local ID apps across Europe when using their bank accounts (Denmark: MitID, Sweden: BankID etc). All passwords are encrypted to the highest standard and practically impossible to break – and users no longer have to remember their passwords.
