Wisedocs, a Toronto, Canada-based provider of smart tools to review medical records, received CAD4.5m in growth financing from CIBC Innovation Banking.
The company intends to use the funds to both further broaden its client base and to expand its product offering.
Led by Connor Atchison, Chief Executive Officer, Wisedocs provides an artificial intelligence (AI) software platform that summarizes claim files for the insurance industry to enable fast and inexpensive medical record reviews. The company serves the auto, liability, disability, workers’ compensation, tort law, and similar markets. Insurance carriers, legal firms, as well as third-party medical examiners within the insurance ecosystem leverage the company’s AI-driven platform to deliver meaningful reviews of complex medical records.
CIBC’s investment followed a Series A financing round of $12.7M raised in January 2024.
