Capsa AI, a London, UK-based startup transforming due diligence in private equity, raised £1.7M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Outward VC, with participation from Cornerstone VC, Antler, and angel investors such as Chris Adelsbach, and other.
The company intends to use the funds to build out the team, focused particularly on hiring product engineering talent to develop more features for private equity investors, to penetrate target markets, and to build out proprietary AI models.
Co-founded by Danyal Özdüzenciler and Callum Downie, Capsa AI has developed an AI operating system that allows investors at private equity funds to ‘delegate’ the manual, low-skill due diligence tasks, including activities such as the creation of company profiles, extraction and consolidation of financial information from company records, analysis of financial performance and reviewing customer contracts, allowing PE investors to focus on valuable and critical tasks. In the coming months, Capsa AI will help private equity funds leverage their historical deal data in order to make better investment decisions.
The company serves funds with over £30 Billion in AUM, enhancing operational efficiency in private equity across the UK, Europe, and the US.
